"How critical...that we be wise and not waste this marvelous, but challenging, opportunity to prepare and prove ourselves worthy of returning to live with Our Father in Heaven and His Son." (Sheri Dew, No Doubt About It, pg3)
"Our ability to successfully negotiate this spiritual minefield called mortality improves dramatically if we are clear about who we are and what is important." (Sheri Dew, No Doubt About It, pg9)
"though we have rightly applauded our ancestors for their spiritual achievement...those of us who prevail today will have done no small thing. The special spirits who have been reserved to live in this time of challenges and who overcome will one day be praised for their stamina by those who pulled handcarts." (Neal A. Maxwell, Not Withstanding My Weakness, 18)
"The Lord...will try us until He knows what He can do with us. He tried His Son Jesus. Thousands of years before He came upon the Earth the Father had watched His course and knew that He could depend upon Him when the salvation of worlds should be at stake... He will... continue to try us, in order that He may place us in the highest positions in life and put upon us the most sacred responsibilities." (Lorenzo Snow, Millennial Star, 24 Aug 1899, 532)
"Since immortality and eternal life constitute the sole purpose of life, all other interests and activities are but incidental thereto." (Spencer W. Kimball. The Miracle of Forgiveness, pg 2)
"If we don't have a clear sense of our identity and purpose, we are much more vulnerable to Lucifer. He of course knows this and accordingly attempts to blur our vision. He lies. He shades and obliterates the truth. Make no mistake about it: Lucifer will do anything to derail, disappoint, dishearten, discourage, and deceive us." (Sheri Dew, No Doubt About It, pg 7-8)
In No Doubt About It Sheri Dew imagined what our Father in Heaven might have said to us as we left His presence to begin our life on earth.

"Form the Heavens I send with you my love and blessing. Countless of your associates here share pride in your record. I have faith that you can do what you are going to earth to do. Stay clean. Work hard. Be fair with your brothers and sisters. Don't get distracted from doing what you are going there to do. And then return Home, with honor." (No Doubt About It, pg 4-5)
"You are good. But it is not enough just to be good. You must be good for something. You must contribute good to the world. The world must be a better place for your presence. And that good that is in you must be spread to others." (Pres. Gordon B. Hinickley, BYU Speeches of the Year, 1996)
I have always loved quotes. Every lesson I have had in YW or Sunday school if we received a little handout, I kept it! I have banners from my 17 & 18 year old class my teacher gave me. I just can't seem to part with them.

I believe wisdom is power! Words of our leaders will help us throughout this challenging, yet blissful, life. It is important to arm ourselves in these last days with the Word of God. We must know what Our Father in Heaven would have us do. We must be aware of what He sees in us. A lot of my quotes will focus on those topics, but I will try to expand my horizons.

Not all posts will be of the LDS faith. As long as I believe there is truth in them, I will post them. I hope you will be able to find what you need either for a talk, or maybe just a quick pick- me- up.

Let me know if there is a topic you would like to see more of. Like I said, I want this to encompass all teachings. I love to look for quotes. It will give me something to do.
